We have all been there you spend ages learning all the words, all the grammar then you finally interact with someone in your chosen target language and they speak so fast and you get completely lost and think well I don't understand anything it was waste of time.

You don't live in the country where they speak the language your learning, all your contacts speak your native language so how are you able to practise speaking or any form of communication?

Watching TV shows or movies in your target language can be a good idea, but what is the best way to watch? Do you use subtitles? Or do you just try and follow as best you can without?
